EnergyDataBank provides access to its web site ("Site") & Storefronts service ("Service"). This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms and conditions of the Membership Agreement of EnergyDataBank. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect about you and what may happen with that information. Although this policy may seem long, we have prepared a detailed policy because we believe you should know as much as possible about EnergyDataBank's practices and procedures so that you can make an informed decision. As described below, some of your personally identifiable information is disclosed to third parties and used by EnergyDataBank and third parties. To be a member of EnergyDataBank, you need to provide your full name, phone number, email address, User ID and a password. You must also provide your company information if you register as a company member. In the course of using the Site, we automatically track certain information about you. This information includes the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our Site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our Site or not), what browser you are using, and your IP address. Many Sites automatically collect this information.
3. Use of Your Information
EnergyDataBank internally uses personally identifiable information about you to improve its marketing and promotional efforts, to statistically analyze the Site usage, to improve the Site' contents, product offerings and layout. EnergyDataBank uses your email address and, in rare situations, your mailing address or phone number, to contact you regarding administrative notices from time to time. EnergyDataBank uses information that you provided to us when you registered with the Site, and other information obtained from your current and past activities on the Site, to resolve disputes, to troubleshoot problems and to enforce the Membership Agreement. Correspondence and email you may send to EnergyDataBank may be stored or filed for reference, but would never be shared with any party outside the company unless you request EnergyDataBank to do so or it is required by law.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
EnergyDataBank does not sell or rent any personally identifiable information about you to any third party. EnergyDataBank may disclose personally identifiable information about you to the government or to law enforcement or other government officials when EnergyDataBank, in its sole discretion, believes necessary or appropriate. Throughout the Site, you are identified by your User ID. In this situation, where you are identified on the Site by your User ID, you disclose your email address to other users and third parties. As a result, other users and third parties might send you unsolicited email and be able to personally identify all of your activities on the Site. That means other people can see your postings on the Site, and so on. EnergyDataBank cooperates with all law enforcement inquires and with all third parties to enforce their intellectual property or other rights.
5. Your Use of Other Users' Information
In order to facilitate interaction among all EnergyDataBank members, the Site and Service allow you to access other members' email addresses. By using the Site and Service, you agree that, with respect to other user's personally identifiable information that you obtain through the Site or through an EnergyDataBank-related communication or EnergyDataBank-facilitated transaction, EnergyDataBank hereby grants you a license to use such information only for EnergyDataBank-related communications that are not unsolicited commercial messages.
6. Control of Your Password
You may not disclose your password to any third parties or share it with any third parties. If, despite the foregoing, you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password.

EnergyDataBank takes security very seriously. EnergyDataBank has taken all of the industry-standard measures such as firewalls and Secure Socket Layers, to provide the members of the EnergyDataBank with the safety and security as well as protect personally identifiable information. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.
8. Links to other sites
While Energy DataBank carries links to other Sites, there is no transfer of information about you to any of these Sites when you visit them through the link. Your information is not shared with any other third parties for any reason.
